Cunico Tonino Srl recently invested in a new thermoforming machine to boost production capacity. To maximize this investment and access the tax benefits of the Transition 5.0 plan, it was essential to transform this physical asset into an intelligent, interconnected digital node.

Initially, the machine was non-operational and isolated from the company's IT systems. The main challenge was to collect precise data on production cycles and energy consumption, while ensuring this information flowed correctly to the administrative offices for reporting purposes.

Mostrum developed a custom middleware that acts as a bridge between the thermoforming machine and the Zucchetti Ad Hoc ERP system. Thanks to this solution, the company achieved the full interconnection required by law, optimizing data management and ensuring granular control over every stage of the process.

OPC-UA Protocol: The Secure Foundation for Industrial Communication

To enable the new thermoforming machine to communicate with the rest of the infrastructure, we implemented the OPC-UA protocol. This technology represents the standard of excellence for modern industry, allowing for secure and structured data exchange between hardware from different manufacturers and software systems. Our middleware constantly polls the machine's PLC, extracting vital parameters without slowing down production. Zucchetti Ad Hoc Integration: Data Interconnection between Workshop and Office

We integrated the middleware with the Zucchetti Ad Hoc ERP, allowing for the automatic exchange of information regarding work orders and material consumption. Through our Custom App and Web App Development, we eliminated the need for manual data entry, drastically reducing the risk of human error. Production data directly feeds the management software, providing management with a clear and immediate view of margins and work progress in real-time.

C# Middleware and Blazor Dashboard: Power and Usability on the Corporate Server

The solution consists of a Windows service developed in C# that operates silently on the corporate server, ensuring data persistence and calculation logic. To allow staff to monitor the plant, we created an intuitive web interface using Blazor. This dashboard allows the viewing of thermoforming machine parameters from any company device, transforming complex numbers into easy-to-read graphs. The choice of Microsoft technologies ensures simplified maintenance and high scalability, protecting the value of the technological investment in the long term.

Transition 5.0 Certification: Real Data for Tax Credits

Obtaining the tax credit provided by Transition 5.0 requires rigorous proof of interconnection and energy savings. Our software collects and logs every kWh consumed and every piece produced, creating a certified database ready for technical auditing.
